Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Personal OS (“we”) for your use of Personal OS. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

1. The beta

Personal OS is in an invite-only beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may limit or end the beta. Keep your own copies of anything important; you can export your data at any time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Invite codes are personal unless we say otherwise.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into Personal OS. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it, including sending it to our AI and infrastructure providers, only as needed to run the service for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for having the right to upload what you capture.

4. AI output

Personal OS uses AI models that can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before relying on it. Nothing the assistant says is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

5. Actions on your behalf

When you connect other services, you authorise Personal OS to act on them as you request. Actions that change something outside Personal OS, such as creating a calendar event, are shown for your approval first, depending on your settings. You’re responsible for actions you approve.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use Personal OS to break the law or infringe others’ rights; to store or generate abusive, exploitative or illegal content; to attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service; to get around limits or access other accounts; or to resell access. Use of AI features must also follow Anthropic’s usage policy.

7. Third-party services and your API key

Connected services are governed by their own terms. If you use your own Anthropic API key, usage is billed to you by Anthropic under your agreement with them.

8. Fees

The beta is free. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you in advance and you won’t be charged without agreeing.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Personal OS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk; where reasonable we’ll tell you why and let you export your data first.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and, for material changes, notify you before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
